First, reddit isn't a monolith. You'd have to be an idiot to not realize that among the hundreds of thousands of people that use this website, you'll generally find a variety of opinions on any particular topic.

Second, posts denouncing vigilante violence against petty criminals and posts encouraging violence against hateful rhetoric are very common.

You're assuming that anyone encouraging violence in the first case is denouncing it in the second, and you only do this because dishonesty is a fundamental component of decisive bullshit like what you are espousing in your post.
