that doesn't really sound much to me like you came out of your ways due to some intellectual revelation. more like you stopped being what you were because it was holding you back in life, so you admitted defeat and gave up your racist pursuits. similar to the way you probably got into racism in the first place -- not really because of an intellectual revelation, but because of other factors in your life -- maybe you were struggling financially, socially, etc. and were looking for a target, needed an outlet for your anger, etc. like i became a communist in college because in college is where i learned all about how society evolves. it's strictly intellectual hobby for me -- being a communist doesn't affect me in real life, i don't do much in real life for it, it's just a theoretical/political stance i have, and not something that will change unless i come to another sort of intellectual revelation. in your responses, you never make arguments as to why you believed racism was right or why you believe racism is wrong. it's all very personal for you.
