I honestly don't care about leaderboards or any multiplayer aspects of a JRPG for FF7 remake. If its works then cool, if its not, oh well. I want the best single player remake possible for FF7 and thats it. If leaderboards work, then awesome, if not i really don't care. I truly want FF7 Remake to be the best remake of all time. Multiplayer is a non-factor and shouldn't be a factor in sacrificing any quality in the game. I know multiplayer is huge for the net income side of any industry, but as a fan I just want a good remake and everyone will appreciate it for what it is. Leave a multiplayer dependent game to handle any multiplayer concepts, pls.
