I'm bitter!

I believe that admission officers look for (specifically Ivy leagues) students that were born with legendary innate qualities that are impossible to fake. Anyone can do extracurricular activities, it's not that hard. If you pursue things like sports, programming, art, leadership positions, awards, community service and etc. for the sake of getting into college then you won't stand out, because everyone is told that is what you need to do. In reality, they are looking for people who do stuff because they actually love it and would do it if colleges didn't even exist. So look back on your life and ask yourself if you truly pursued a passion of yours? If you didn't then you probably wouldn't fit in at a high performing college. In my case, these are just a few things that are intrinsic to who I am: I fell in love with legos at age 5 which got me into robotics because I pursued my desire to design and create automated mechanisms which lead to my involvement in my rookie FRC robotics team that got 2nd in the world championship. In 7th grade, I created a duct tape wallet business because I wanted money for a Ps3 and didn't have a job. To this day, my jobs have been purely based on my desire to be different and learn something new, I have been a PC technician at a local It company, an umpire for baseball, and currently I am working on building up my aerial photography and videography business while still being the unofficial lead design and mechanical engineer on my robotics team. I have spent over 500 hours volunteering for my youth group and being a Mentor in a STEM-based local organization that teaches elementary students about robotics because I actually want to lead and help those around me. I was voted as homecoming prince because I made real friendships with various groups of students at my school. People know me as the "Nice guy". I believe that I am who I am because I have pursued what I love and am real with people. (Jesus is the driving force of my life btw) Anyways I could go on about stuff that I have done, but why am I telling you this? I am not bragging, I did all this stuff without even thinking about college, it has never been a focus for me, I didn't even learn that much about Stanford or any other colleges until a week before my Senior year. I turned in my application at 11:58 pm 1 minute before it was due because waiting until the last minute is a part of who I am. If I get accepted into Stanford (my dream school because I believe I would fit in perfectly) I would be so happy, but if I don't then I will go to a different college or just won't go to college at all and pursue my drone company and create my own career. Basically getting accepted to college boils down to whether or not you are an authentic person that is able to be successful in anything he/she puts his/her mind to.

P.S I have taken about 15 AP/Honors classes with a total 3.6/5 weighted GPA (because I really hate homework) and 1380 on SAT
