I'm doing a Star Wars marathon with my friends for the first time today!

An old James Bond (Daniel Craig) stands next to the villain. The villain opens a door into a beautiful mansion

The villain, speaking in a British accent: "This way, Mr. Bond"

Bond and the villain enter the mansion and make their way into the living room. Bond makes a slow few steps and stops to take a good look at the room. It has wide windows, a flat screen TV, several couches, and a black fauteuil right in front of the TV. The villain is now near the TV and turns to Bond.

The villain: "Take your seat, Mr. Bond."

Bond seats

The villain: "As a last entertainment before you die, I'd like to show you something. I am sure it will be familiar."

The villain turns on the TV, where a scene of the original Casino Royale is playing.

The villain: "You will watch every James Bond movie ever made, in chronological order. The last of them shall be ... believe it or not, the one we're currently in, right now."

Bond looks undisturbed

The villain: "I am giving you the distinct honor and privilege of witnessing your own death, Mr. Bond."

Bond: "And why would I agree to that?"

The villain: "It was your destiny to die at the hands of that which you fought. Your life was a crusade against evil, crime and injustice, but in doing so, you've destabilized the world, Mr. Bond. You tipped the balance, you broke the harmony that prevailed between the forces of good and the forces of evil. Because of you, the world is now one-sided, well, almost one-sided."

"The villain grins*

The villain: "You believed in justice! But there is no justice in this world. Death is the only justice. The one and true purpose of all things, the common denominator of all men, the one thing we cannot avoid, despite our modern sophistication. Death has been a lifelong companion of yours, so what I say shouldn't surprise you. You've watched your parents die, your allies and feminine conquests die before your eyes. Your legacy on this Earth has been to avoid more deaths, hasn't it? You've foiled countless plans and assassination attempts. The horror of the present is as obvious to you as anyone else. You have literally devoted your life to prevent the death of others."

Bond looks unperturbed.

The villain: "But, as self-righteous as you pretend to be, inside yourself, you are aware of your true nature. You have never really been an agent of good, nor evil. You are a grey shadow, a shineless light, and that, you, more than anybody else, cannot deny. You have fueled the passions of your enemies and sacrificed your friends and allies for your personal gain. More than any other man you've killed with your bare hands, yours are red with blood. You have brought too much good to this world. You have removed too much evil. You have violated the cosmic harmony between good and evil. You have dried the Yin, but at what cost for your Yang? You have largely purged the world from the evil it contained, but you brought this evil inside yourself. As your enemies grew weaker, your own demons grew stronger, Mr. Bond. Good and evil are the fundamental fabrics of the Universe. Nothing can be created, nor destroyed. The evil which you removed from the world, you just moved it inside your soul, and it made you increasingly unredeemable over time."

Bond looks tired and is now bowing his head.

The villain: "You contain too much evil, and this saddens me. No man should have to bear this much pain and suffering. No man should have to bear the responsibility of so many, countless deaths. No man should have to bear the remorse that you bear."

The villain marks a pause, sits in the couch next to Bond, takes his hand with his, and in a saddened voice, says

The villain: "I ... love you, Mr. Bond. I feel a deep sympathy for you. And it is because of this sympathy that I cannot bear to see the sight of you, sitting in this chair, struggling not to succumb to the remorse of his past. You have done your best work, but your intent was flawed from the very beginning. You've pushed yourself beyond the edge, and now, your fall can only have one end."

At this point, Bond is sobbing.

The villain: "Mark Twain once said: “The fear of death follows from the fear of life. A man who lives fully is prepared to die at any time.” "

The villain stands up and walks out of the room.

An unknown number of years later, a young man is seen walking into a graveyard, in autumn. As he walks by the gravestones, the camera lets the young man walk away and focuses on one particular stone. It reads: James Bond, 1953 - 2033. The image fades to the credits.
