I'm done with r/dishonored, its all gone downhill

In a way this sub kinda reflects the game itself in a way. Not to judge a game before it's released but it's just the little details that I think take away from the heart of the game. Samuel and Piero and I'm assuming the Curnows won't be in the game. They swapped out the Outsider's voice actor for some famous guy who has probably never voice acted in his life and they're kind of overselling the whole thing.

They promise all this variety and player freedom (which shouldn't really be an option in a stealth game anyway) and I'm just wondering what happens if they cant deliver on all this. The mechanics look way too flashy too. One of the best parts of the game was how simple everything was. You had everything you needed for varied gameplay. Attack, jump, abilities, etc. When you combined all these simple mechanics you could do some crazy stuff.

But in the new game you can jab with your sword, you can headbutt, you can run into guards and grab them. Instead of simply jumping, it has a whole parkour thing going on. I know a good sequel should succeed the original but all this added junk just clutters an already fine system.

And don't even get me started on the hype. I feel like I've played the entire game by watching those few trailers and now I'm afraid to even click on a Dishonored video
