I'm extremely scared of ever being fat, so much so, that I've only had 4 strawberries today. Ask me anything.

People choose the eating habits they adopt.

Obese children don't have much of a choice. It becomes habitual and then an addiction. This leads on to fat adults.

But we're not passing on some irreparable epidemic of unhealthy eating mandates that will affect generations to come.

Some people are. Eating habits aren't genetic, but they are behavioral and kids learn from what they sense.

Like the concept that obese people tend to have more medical complications and that in a society where insurance companies subsidize their losses by raising the costs for everybody that means that more healthy people pay higher premiums due to the increased losses those companies face because of the increased number of obese people. Or the argument that clothing companies have had to increase overhead to make more plus sized clothing driving up the costs of other clothing as well. Or the legit causes of increased obesity line the fact that food companies have increased portion sizes over the last several decades so they can justify raising prices far beyond the inflation and proportional cost per whatever-unit-of-weight so they can artificially increase profits.

Exactly why being obese is bad.

Do you know why the HAES and supposed "fat acceptance" movements started?

I don't see "Smoker Acceptance" or "Alcoholic at Any Age" movements. These movements are bad. If they want a movement, they should go to the gym. There is the rare mean person at the gym, but generally, everyone keeps to themselves.

Cortisol, also known as the stress hormone, causes people to retain water and slows down metabolism. It helps make people fat. So harassing fat people and making them pariahs actually scientifically worsens their obesity.

Medicine can help out with that.

whole FPH mentality infuriates me because it's a hate campaign against a group of people

It's not the solution to obesity.

who already have it hard enough

Some are genuine victims from their parents' bad eating habits, but generally, they're just gluttonous and slovenly people.

legit movement to drive change for the greater good

Like healthy eating/living campaigns, which are far better than HAES and "Fat Acceptance?"
