I think Im going nuts

I believe you, and I don't think you're going nuts.

People will discount a simple account like this because it's not sensationalized, but the fact is it's the little things that can be the most revealing of the fact that something very out of the ordinary just happened. Some simple thing that you KNOW is not at all how you left it. Either someone is getting in your place or some kind of reality glitch happened.

A few years ago at my house we had a couple instances where we came home to find our cat was not where we left her when we went out (inside /outside). Cats don't open doors. We didn't forget where we left her. We found her inside when she had been left outside, and outside when we had left her inside. We have had other instances where it seemed as if someone had been in the house while we were out. I think the scariest aspect of that is when you find that somone has been in your house, nothing was stolen, and all the doors were locked like you left them. We also found footprints in the snow where someone had walked 360 degrees around our house close to the outside walls and stopped to peer in a bedroom window, unmistakeable. The tracks led across a neighbor's property to a plowed parking lot where they stopped. We have had recent trespassers in the wee hours of the night. They killed a pet, and my security camera in that area only got a short video of a woman's shadow as she calmly walked away. About two weeks later a male was in front of my house (about 20 ft from the front door) and pissed all over my truck and on the ground beside it - definitely human, not a dog or cat.

Don't freak out. You are not alone. This kind of shit is going on all over and is getting worse.

If I had funds I would upgrade all my doors and windows including heavy metal doors and frames, better deadbolts, shatter-resistant glass, and steel bars like most houses have in Florida. Sleeping under a thin glass window that is about five feet above the ground does not make me feel very secure. I wake up at every bump in the night. I have motion detector lights all around the outside of the house and I keep it dark inside the windows I look out of so I can see out and no one (or no thing) can see in.
