I'm Going To Run Away But I Need Some Help

When's your next birthday? If you're over 16, the authorities aren't required to bring you home, you can legally get a job, rent an apartment, or do anything else to benefit yourself. This might depend on which state you live in though, so double check the age limits in your area, but I would suggest waiting a few months if you can

In the meantime, you can start planning your escape. I'd start with these

- Decide where you're going and what you'll do there. Getting away might seem the priority, but showing up in a new state can be disorienting. Having a plan helps you stay focused, even better is you have a connection there

- Big cities have more job opportunities, but they're also really expensive. A smaller or mid-sized city also has plenty of jobs, but basic necessities are generally more affordable. They're also a better place to hide since they're the last place anyone would expect

- Figure out how to finish your schooling. You don't need to go to high school, you can get your GED instead and study anywhere. Don't just drop out, though, your diploma (or equivalent) opens so many more doors
