Why i'm handing in my citizenship

It's the field of dreams. Until it isn't.

It's not a field of dreams. It's a messy, complex development process. It's entirely possible to build SC, but the priorities of Roberts and their inability to manage a realistic vision is what's driving everything off the cliff.

As it stands it's not the game i bought into years ago.

100% agree, with one major correction. You didn't buy the game. You voluntarily contributed to the game and made a bad investment. From 2012 to now Star Citizen has been a kickstarter and you're the investor.

It was a bad investment.

I hope people in this sub get a refund for legitimate reasons. BUT to say the game isn't what you want because of the flight controls mechanics is no different than buying any other game on the market and returning it after you played it because you were unsatisfied with it.

Yes, the game got away from its vision. Extremely. But it doesn't change the fact that you donated money to a kickstarter project. You don't (you shouldn't) get that money back because you don't like the flight controls they're building. Just like if you're a venture capitalist who forks millions into an shallow dream of a startup, and it fails, that investor just lost millions of dollars.

Why donors think they deserve refunds is beyond me. One of few good reason to get a refund is that you were deceptively misled by the project. That gives you real, actual grounds to deserve that money back. But "not-liking-the-product-you-invested-in" is absolutely not grounds for a refund.

And one more thing buddy, why did you spend that much money on this project?!!! I paid for a $60 game package and that was how much I was willing to pay for a kickstarter project haha, no matter the vision or "promises".
