I'm the happiest I've been in years, and it's almost all because of Reddit users. Here's your dog tax, you scoundrels - more in comments

A while ago I abandoned an old Reddit account that I had used for years, and I never paid much attention to my post or comment karma, I mostly just enjoyed cracking dumb jokes and being an ass. I abandoned the account because I noticed some unusual and unwanted attention more and more, and felt there was a good chance of being DOXXed or worse (my IT proficiency is crap) so I left the username for dead :(

But recently, as in tonight, I was looking up the statistics for a subreddit that has been steadily increasing in popularity, and I was pleasantly surprised to find my own dead account as a "high ranking" contributor. Honestly I'm just really happy. I never said a whole lot of insightful stuff but I was active, and I shared a lot of stuff I found interesting and it was just really nice to know it wasn't all for nothing, that "the community" overall cared.

I dunno, it just really made my night, and week and probably year...
