I'm having an existential crisis and debating the existence of God, AMA.

well known christian Oral Roberts believed that Jesus as he is currently in heaven or whereever is a guy who is 900 feet tall.

i think a lot of christians believe that god is also a giant who sports a beard.

some christians believe that god created the universe once upon a time and now lets people do as they will. some christians believe that it is in the nature of god to eternally punish people who are Bad in hell. some christians believe that if enough people pray for something they can convince god to act on their behalf, like if only everyone on their facebook and at their church asks god then he'll cure their cancer. some christians believe that god created everything except for the things they don't like, like cancer is from satan or something. and there's about a million other probably mostly better examples.

there's not really a firm universal definition of 'the christian god'. the god that some christians believe in would be totally rejected by others.

i believe in god. i'm a pantheist and a taoist. god is the sum of existence. the universe and all it is. i am the child of god, and i am god grokking god. the nature of god is tao.

why not try to figure out what would be the specific nature of the god that you could, or even do, believe in is?
