I'm having a hard time putting forth the effort to get licensed... [practice]

Honestly, don't get licensed then. Not everyone dreams of being a project architect, and that's not a problem. By the time I'd finished studying architecture, I'd realised that I have no real interest in becoming registered. I love architecture, I'm constantly reading and learning about it, and I definitely want to work in the field. Registration just doesn't really interest me.

I don't even know if I ultimately want to work in a design capacity. I like writing about and exploring architectural theory more than I enjoy designing singular buildings, so maybe I'll end up in something architecturally adjacent and not specifically design related. I'm currently designing for a small construction firm but, because there are no registered architects working here, none of the hours I'm doing actually count towards my registration even if I wanted them to.

Doesn't bother me, maybe one day I'll change my mind and pursue it, but for now I'm happy.
