I think the biting / clawing is partially from my bf encouraging bad behavior. He plays with her like his hand is a toy, and has made no steps to stop this behavior. Like, even when I typed out this post she was cuddling next to me (again she does like people) but got excited by my moving fingers and swatted at them... ouch.

Sometimes she does show clear signs of overstimulation which my boyfriend ignores. He is always gentle, but if her tail is flipping and she has an angry expression, he sometimes keeps petting her. I've told him many times to not do this. This doesn't happen all the time, not daily or anything, but it happens too much.

Another example, the other day I was on the couch and she was sleeping on my lap. I was also doing a crossword puzzle. I think she was annoyed by my fidgeting (writing and stuff) and seemingly out of nowhere she attacked me. When I say attack, she isn't like growling and snarling, more like a single pounce with claws and teeth on my arm. Ouch!

I'll definitely check out that youtube channel. I know a bit about cat behavior but I'm definitely not an expert. Thanks again!
