I'm just kind of lost about who I am.

Hello.

Regarding your first question, all the time. It's normal. But some days it's better.

Regarding your question if you should try to improve things; yes always. But only improve things as a gift to yourself. Never improve yourself for others. Learn to draw and sing better, because creativity is fun. Lose weight because being healthy feels good, not because of someone elses beauty ideals.

A big part of finding out who you are, is finding out what you like to do. Are you an artist? Are you a singer? Are you a rodeo cowboy? Are you a mountain climber? Find out! of course these are not the "whole" you, but it can be a major part of an identity.

As for myself, I did a makeover in order to look like I wanted, even though people around me thought it was a bad idea.

I started "weird" hobbies because I wanted to.

I don't have the whole picture of course, but I know a whole lot more about myself than I did at 18
