If you have no connection whatsoever to the ethnicity, then no. Only you can be the judge of that.

Keep in mind that there could be a call to your high school counselor, who will be looking at what your parents designated for school registration.

1/4 is enough for the National Hispanic Recognition Program, but the definition is very specific:

If you have a connection to the ethnicity, it doesn't matter that you don't speak Spanish. Be aware that the Hispanic question is separate from the race question and most Hispanics check white (because for most, that is the only choice).
