I'm a little heated, and about to fire a contractor. Would appreciate opinions before I do

I don't think they have a drywall guy. I'm calling the owner at 3 (pretty confident if no one has showed up by then, they're not coming today). I'm gonna ask for clarification on what the plan is to fix this properly. As another commentor stated, drywall finishing is a pretty in demand skill. Can't imagine these guys would be pulling insulation out of an attic if they can make a busted textured ceiling look like new.

You are probably right though, I'm sure the guy was eager to cover his ass thinking I was gonna be angry. I wasn't at the time, and I believe I was very chill and understanding. I probably wouldn't even be as upset as I am now if the guy had just been straight with me and said he didn't know when they were gonna fix it. But I'll hash that out when I call.
