I'm looking for a 1 day a week local job. Is this a thing? What should I look for?

Same here. I just looked on my local job board and typed Saturday/Saturdays/Sunday/Sundays, typed my city, selected part time + casual and ticked retail & customer service industries. I had to scroll a lot looking at ~125 vacancies. I just applied for about 6 roles, the ones which advertised in the vacancy working 1 day a week only (either Saturday or Sunday), permanent part time. The roles are 3.5-15km away from my house and I have a ride. The shift is 6-9 hours, so added to 40 hours M-F it’s a max total 49 hours. Which is good because working over 50 hours and especially over 55 hours increases the risk of heart attacks, stroke, other health ailments and death.
