What is your process for mixing and mastering ?

Mine is:

Set levels to -15db / -12db

Pull master fader to highest volume for headroom when mastering

Pull volumes down based on how I want the mix to sound, ex: if i want a synth to be the loudest part, make that the main element and base everything else around it

Add effects to the sounds I feel like need them, and gain-stage everything

Get my mix sounding how I want, and reset master fader

Export the wav ( I do everything on a windows laptop, CPU usage is hell )

EQ the wav for final touches , EX: boosting mid range by 0.2 db

Putting mid range & High range in 25% stereo depending on the beat / song

Same for low end but with mono^

SSL Master Buss Comp (Just got this yesterday still learning how to use it )

L1 Limiter , boost to -0.2db
