I'm new to Sport and never played any racing sims. Tips and tricks please?

Track knowledge helps a lot. Knowing braking points. There should be a track guide on youtube for each daily race that happens. Might be old might be new. Use it.

Good qualifying time. Aim for the top 6 in the grid. If you don’t make a good quali just focus on a good race.. people make mistakes you’ll get a few places for sure. The higher up the grid the more consistent you’ll need to be to hold your position or get ahead.

Find a car you like. i’ve found myself driving the C7 Corvette a lot and i’ve got to know the car well. How it holds through corners. braking, acceleration.

Traction control. Do you have it on? i like mine off. Completely off. I can’t handle every car with it off.. so i’ve mastered a few. The Corvette, Porsche and the Aston Martin Vantage. You will roll through corners and have full access to faster acceleration out or corners with TC off. It might take some getting used to.

Consistency. Even if you aren’t the fastest you’re bound to take advantage of other players making mistakes.. and they will. Focus on hitting corners and braking points consistently to get a rhythm going each lap. This comes back to track knowledge.

Aim to race clean, not win. I know this might sound counter productive or silly. Why race if you aren’t racing to win? you still are.. i just feel like placing a heavier emphasis on racing clean will get you wins eventually.
