I'm new to Texas. I love your based state. Protect your guns, family, honesty and integrity! Love your country. I'm happy to be in the best state in the best nation. Hi & Cheers!

Nice editing. You're clearly from the James O'Keefe school of the same.

What you're calling conservatism is militant nationalism of a very exclusionary variety. There's no place for it in a pluralistic democracy. You should just own that, be frank about it.

The fact is most Americans don't cotton to it, and you're going to lose, badly, in the end. That's because the genie is out of the bottle. Most Americans understand that growth and liberty and diversity are ends in themselves. The sort of personal disappointment and angst that leads one to the alt-right just aren't consistent with the more joyful and promising experience of most Americans. Resentment only sells so far. And this country, with all of its faults, is generally not of an attitude compatible with xenophobia and reaction. This is a county of hope and hopeful people who know how to make things happen.

The thing you represent, the delusional, conspiracy-mongering, scapegoating, hateful, and paranoid sort of politics of resentment, can never carry the day. That is, it can't unless the spark of the country goes out altogether.

The promise of Texas in particular is incompatible with your brand of unreason. This is a state of twenty-five million people, most possessed of a decency and passion that the resentful can't really understand. The heat and dust and power of the place is already on a course for real democracy, fated to cope with some hiccups, but well-equipped to overcome them.

Conservatism told us to bow to kings and pray to false gods in smocks. Conservatism said we should love nations not people. Conservatism told us we should retire into our own insular circles. It's a backward message from a backwards position. It is the opposite of Texas, the Texas I was born into and love and would die for.

The future is a different shade of red, tinged with black. You fascists will play your games and sow your piss. But the rest of us, the brown and red and white and whatever, the lovers of a Texas and American dream, we'll go on remaking this thing that is democracy.

And you'll still be making pathetic appeals for exclusion, circle-jerking through the lonely night. On your chans and in your gamer chats, trying to plug a hole with loathing that can only be filled with solidarity.

So piss off. Take your shitposting and brigading somewhere else. Texas isn't yours. Texas is for hoping and dreaming, not hating and fucking over. The future for you is failure, and we'll all be better for it.
