I'm in no rush to see Artificial Super Intelligence (ASI)

I’m so conflicted for this reason. We just have no plan as a society on how we are going to address the inequality created from ASI. Likewise, it’s going to be revealing answers to some questions that have been purposely blurred to not cause unrest in people’s worldviews of the nature of reality. Maybe with ASI able to explain it to them at a more granular level, they’ll see the light and start treating other people the way they should be treated and start living their own lives. ASI is super cool, but at this point, I’m looking at the State of Nature and trying to figure out where human beings really fit in this equation at this point. I’m currently a Sr SWE at a company with no plans to layoff and a great track record and history. But I would be naive to think that when we go public that we would not just be another line item in the budget. The damn thing is that property and rent are so high, it’s not like you can not participate in having a job anyway. So if everyone has to have a job to pay for this exorbitant life, where are we all going to work, bc most jobs are irrelevant and could be knocked out to automation by ASI in no time. If egocentric humans thought those companies were the best anyway and not that the ASI couldn’t come up with something better. I assume ASI would have to change the economy but without a preexisting plan, is The Magi running Tokyo-3 or are humans just fucked to fend for themself?

What is your primary concern?
