I'm not a christian, that being said, I feel a strong connection to churches

Hello! The Bible most definitely has verses addressing people like you.

Jeremiah 29:13 says: “You will seek Me and find Me when you seek Me with all your heart. I will be found by you.” - this is the Lord’s declaration.

Jesus says “Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you. For everyone who asks receives; the one who seeks finds; and to the one who knocks, the door will be opened.” (Matthew 7:7-12)

If you are stirred to seek God, know that He is ready and waiting with open arms for you and He is calling to you! I love the parables of the lost sheep (Matthew 18:10-14) and the prodigal son (Luke 15:11:32). They are such reminders of God’s love for us and how much He wants a relationship with us. He’s our “Heavenly Father,” that is the type of loving relationship we have with God!

A good place to start is definitely prayer, and you could also read the book of Mark (it’s the shortest of the gospels in the Bible that tell about Jesus’ life) or Matthew (it’s the first). Remember that “The Lord your God is among you, a warrior who saves. He will rejoice over you with gladness. He will bring you quietness with His love. He will delight in you with shouts of joy.” (Zephaniah 3:17)

Ultimately, God is so full of love, and I’m sure that He is calling to you now. Again, I would emphasize simply starting by praying and reading the Bible because it is so full of verses about love, salvation, and people just like you. I am praying for you, friend.

“For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord.” - Romans 8:38-39

“There is one body and one Spirit - just as you were called to one hope at your calling - one Lord, one faith, one baptism, one God and Father of all, who is above all and through all and in all.” - Ephesians 4:4-6
