If you want to play a single-player game, there's already ways to do that even if it has co-op features, and none of them require NFTs or the blockchain. It's called having a system that meets the requirements or play through the cloud, and connect to a server.

And for online games, why the hell should I have to have my computer making an extra effort in order to play? We have servers and an online infrastructure precisely for that.

How the heck are NFTs going to magically make everything work better and faster when it's a technology made to validate the receipt that ensures you own X thing in the blockchain?

All I read here are buzzwords and nonsense, and I'm sorry but no FOMO will convince me otherwise. Companies don't want the best for their consumers, they want MONEY, and that's why we only had stuff that incentivizes consumers paying more and more added to the videogame industry this last decade.
