  1. I don't think much would change that would cause the city to invest additional money. The area regularly hosts large events.

2 weekends of ACL Fest and the Trail of Lights isn't a comparison to a stadium hosting 20+ soccer games, including some weeknight games.

The location is lousy even before one considers any sort of "green" impacts, relying on a pie in the sky transit and ridesharing plan to get supporters to and from the stadium. Stadiums that are a pain in the ass to access end up being half-full at best once the novelty of a new team wears off, putting the financial health of the franchise into question. Just look at the Arizona Coyotes. Unlike the stages at ACL, you can't just deconstruct the stadium quickly if things go pear-shaped.
