I'm not pro-life or pro-choice I'm actually pro... choice

I want to distance myself from the parts of feminism that spread misinformation and base their arguments on "facts" that have been proven false multiple times. So far that has been every feminist organization I've ran into. We have a feminist party here in Finland but after checking out their website I can't see myself supporting them.

I also don't like the fact that most feminist organizations only focus on women's problems, even though they market themselves as being for gender equality. Even the Feminist Party in Finland only cares about women and other minorities. I'd rather vote for someone who cares about me and my problems.

I'm not pushing against feminism but I will use my limited time, money and votes on organizations that care about me the most. I haven't seen the feminists here in Finland even talking about the fact that men have to complete a mandatory military service or that men are underrepresented in higher education or that in a divorce it's harder for the father to get the kids. I guess those aren't problems in their eyes because they don't concern women.

The problem with the word "feminist" is that it really means "women's rights activist", not "I am for equal rights for every gender". Stop telling me I'm a feminist just because I want equality.
