I'm not really a Solomon Thomas fan, but I love voch's review on him

This is the strange thing, he has the size for 5 but his bend and edge are average at best. His quickness is good, but since he has no speed the tackles seem to do as the please with him so I think he would be average at best. Inside he is undersized, but his quickness gives him leverage so he is able to stand everyone up as they say in the NFL (get under pads). He will work well inside even though he is undersized. He is also really strong and can bull rush. But my biggest knock seems to be that if he is not able to outquick the person, he gets blocked at least 70% of the time. He needs his quickness so that when he hits the linemen, he gets leverage and easily outpowers them from there. Guards in particular aren't quick most the time (hence why Paztor is a great guard but not so good RT), but are usually bigger and stronger. Thomas is a really good counter to those type of guards (the norm) cause he is quicker and uses good form for his match up wins. But if he faced a quicker guard like Bitonio, I can see there being problems. If he has no leverage, his effectiveness is really bad. If you watch the voch tape, you will see him line up on outside sometimes and get blocked almost every time because not enough speed. On the inside, however, he can create pressure. He is a top rated prospect, but still 3rd behind McDowell and Allen.
