I'm not sure if I'm as financially stable as I think I am.

1) Can i afford a house/how much can I afford?

Hard to say, it may be difficult at your age and lack of track record for income to get a mortgage, so you may actually have to save for several more years or pay cash.

2) I want to save as much as possible for retirement, so how do I do a retirement and max my retirement out if im self employed?

You have several choices - an IRA, a Roth, and the SEP or SIMPLE. Depending on how your business is set up, you can save oodles by picking the right kind of plan. See a certified financial planner or CPA.

3) Is there anything else I need to be prepared for?

Talk to a good CPA about what kind of business setup you have. You need to pay quarterly taxes to the IRS and state. So you need to find out what was going on with that.

Make sure your business is properly licensed for what you do and where you are (let's say you are a blogger - probably don't need a particular license. OTOH, if you have some sort of business where it involves retail or services, then you might)

Also, at $2K a month, you'll need to file a gift tax form annually since it's over $14K, although you aren't getting into paying taxes on it unless it goes over $5M, you just need to file a form.

4) How do I get health/dental insurance since I do not have an employer? I used to be under my dads.

If you belong to any union or professional groups, try getting group insurance through them. And, btw, this is the time to join them. So, IEEE for engineers and programmers, the musician's union, the writers union (if you are a blogger), etc. Talk to an insurance broker. Failing that, the ACA marketplace, since loss of coverage through your father is a covered event. Prepare to pay $ in any case.

tl;dr you really need to talk with a good CFP and CPA about your business setup and taxes.
