I'm not sure if I'm an antinatalist, or if I hold unpopular political views. Help?

I would agree that there is no true equilibrium because nature is too random for such a thing to really exist.

However any animal that can exist in nature without having to destroy the planet to continue the functioning of their society rates way above humans for me.

I also find it notable that humans are the only animal that requires authority to keep the peace. When a disaster happens, and thus we lose grip of our regular routine, what is the first thing people do? Smash open shop windows to steal TV's then go carjacking. When people are taken out of regular society altogether and are given free reign to torture others, what do they do? They take great pleasure in it.

Of course other animals aren't exactly always peaceful, but if a lion has a problem with another lion they fight and the victor gets pride, that's as far as that goes. At the very worst the life of the loser could be lost.

On the other hand humans have, many times in history, killed entire populations, destroyed entire habitats, and decimated entire species. And was that for survival? Of course not. We don't need to destroy the planet in order to survive. We do this merely to provide ourselves with temporary comfort, or simply because of pure hatred.

There is no argument in my mind that human life is the most despicable on the planet. Not only do we pass suffering onto others through procreation like any animal, but we go above and beyond to create more suffering than every other known lifeform combined.

A cat kills a mouse so it has a dinner. Humans brutally torture entire populations of other humans because they dislike their religion, or use other races of humans as slaves because they believe their race to be inferior.

The crimes of humans outstrip every other animal on earth, there is no contest here. If all human life was ended tomorrow the rate of suffering on this planet would drop 99.99% compared to what it is right now.
