I'm on my fifth Samsung Galaxy S6.

No. I've paid my own cellphone bill since I was 16yrs old. I'm now 30. I'm very aware of how the business works.

The original problem I had was a strange grinding sound whenever I used the camera function on the phone. The sound wasn't there originally and over time it became worse. I avoided dealing with it at first as I had moved to a new state and was using the GPS feature daily for work.

Then one morning I awoke and noticed that the spot on my bed near the phone was very warm. This worried me. I touched the back of my Otterbox case and it was hot. When I went to remove the phone from the charger I either burnt my finger or received an electrical shock.

I called Verizon. They took remote access of my phone. Ran a diagnostic. Told me it was the phone.

I have been sent 4 refurbished phones since. It is the 64 GB model. Each one has been unable to hold a cellphone charge after a few hours. One of them the charge input itself arrived loose.

My cellphone charger is plugged into a $90 Monster Surge protector. There is only one other thing that is plugged into it.

I went to Target and purchased 3 different offmarket wall chargers. which I returned after running my own tests.

I can't believe my luck. I seriously went around checking the voltage of every one of my outlets to check if there was an electrical issue in my apartment. But if that's the case why does my computer work fine? Why is my stereo unaffected?

The staff at the store is sorry...but a fat lotta good that does me. I've been patient. I've maintained my temper.

At one point the solutions manager even offered to let me take a phone home that they reserve for first responder's in case of an emergency. I declined because even though my life is currently in disarray it isn't worth standing in the way of saving a life.

I just want this to be over with. You guys really dont understand. The timing of all this is killing me.
