I'm a plus-sized trainer and health coach, but a critic of Ragen Chastain

I should have put a "Not All Trainers" disclaimer on there. Hell, even trainers who do have a bachelor's can be awful. In general, I think a trainer must have good critical thinking and active listening skills. I've just noticed a lot of the cert-only trainers are not as good at meeting their clients' needs because they go into the training with their own presumptions and agenda. I didn't mean to imply that you are like that.

I just meant to use Regan as a good example of a cert-only coach who makes other coaches look bad. When FA people come out saying that all foods are equally healthy, that body fat doesn't effect health in the slightest, and body-bashing thinner people, it makes people like me look stupid. FA extremists have also caused a ton of misunderstandings around what HAES actually promotes, which is too bad because the message to focus on your habits, and to not have a myopic focus on weight, is a good message.

Also, I minored in anthropology, anthropology FTW. :)
