We don't see spit but we see a reaction.
Just to play devil's advocate is it possible the guy yelled so abruptly and loudly a foot away from the lady's ear and it startled her?
I don't think her reaction was strong enough for getting spit on, even if it was incidental spit spray from a spit aimed at someone else.
At least she would tell the person next to her or go as far a jumping out of her seat.
Spitting is so disgusting. I kicked a guy out of an open-gym men's basketball session because he spit on the floor, the ball eventually rolled on it and I touched it and got it all over my hands. I told him to grab his shit, get out and not come back for two weeks. He listened.
Someone asked me about it later assuming I ran the open gym, no, I was just that mad.
