I'm proud to announce Ultimate Skyrim 4.0, the first auto-installable modpack that completely respects all modder permissions.

We'll have to see how this plays out. I'm trying to see this from the other side. I really am. I just can't wrap my mind around how having someone else curate my game for me gives me more variety in game play than customizing a modlist myself. I also don't see how hand-picking content helps new mod authors. I also don't see how it will help users if modpacks are something that are easy to make since problems will arise that are difficult for them to resolve without the proper experience modding their own game. I anticipate a lot of trouble down the line. I hope I'm wrong.

Most importantly, US 4.0 at least makes an effort to respect mod authors' ownership of their mods (although they failed to notify at least one mod author who has commented in this thread about his inclusion in their list). Will others do the same? This is impossible to answer at this time.
