Dating in Santa Cruz can be fun if you can find someone to go on dates with. I love the outdoors so I enjoy getting to explore the amazing natural beauty of our area with a lady by my side. However, I understand that it can feel like slim pickings in this town. SC is a very transient area with people coming and going all the time (tourists, college students, people who end up leaving due to housing issues, etc). It does not seem that there is not many women in between college aged and someone well into their 40s or 50s. In my experience, being several years out of college, it can feel strange dating women who are in college. Not many women to choose from who are in their mid to late 20s.

OP, maybe you want to expand your horizons to consider women over the hill in San Jose area as well? SJ does not have a great dating scene for men as its population is saturated with guys who work in tech and women may be looking for someone who is very successful professionally. It is a very highly populated area if you include the whole Silicon Valley so the numbers do help a bit. I have been able to go on dates with women I have met on dating apps from San Jose and I am not a millionaire techie by any means. Good luck!
