I do a version of this called "I wonder what would happen if I do..." and pick some kind of extreme strategic choice just to see how it plays out. Usually this causes some kind of chaos and almodt always results in me losing. BUT My favorite memory of this was the first time I played Agricola. I found the game a bit overwhelming so I decided my strategy would be sheep. I would only raise sheep. I would aim for the goals that involced sheep. I would buy the special room benefits related to sheep etc. I had no idea how 75% of the game's mechanics worked. Everyone took the piss out of me for hours until near the end when it became apparent that I was winning by a landslide. Still the funniest win I've ever had because no talent or thought went into it. Also the saltiest my friends have ever been about losing.
