I'm starting to get a sense everything is fake/we're living in a simulation - am I in denial or do other people think this?

This is a really great response, it’s an interesting idea that both of you are proposing and I think you’re both actually correct and a lot of people share a similar POV. It really does seem to be that day to day life and so called reality is based on the collective consciousness of everyone involved and it really does seem to be a little fake and superficial currently. So it’s worth agreeing on that and then figuring out how to move forward as individuals. I really think the world is made up each day by the group of people participating that all have their own idea of reality and then actualize it as individuals, which then makes up the whole. If you’re aware of those things going on around you, I think it puts you at a higher level of awareness and you’re empowered to choose your path. But we’re all human and we’re all similar so in reality, we’re all part of a system to some degree. But it’s pretty awesome to feel empowered to decide on how to move forward as an individual. Other people are deciding on how to do that alongside us whether we recognize it or not. So there are bright lights out there alongside us even when some stuff seems so superficial and shallow.
