I'm transferring guardianship of my brother's twin girls to my sister and her wife—against his wishes—as soon as he dies

Surrogate family is not a re-education camp. No matter how "bad", "immoral", "undesired", etc. the train of thought inside a child's head is. If you desire otherwise, I fear the day you hold any power.

The girls are so young that I doubt they have some sort of opinion regarding homosexual relationships. But if they were older, I'd strongly encourage their word to be the final say on what sort of family they'd end up in.

As much as I want homosexual adoption to be legal across the Western world, I would still not want to have been adopted by two women. Even growing up with a parody of a man for a father did insurmountable harm to my psyche in my teens. I can't imagine what growing up without one would have caused me.
