I'm Transgender Ask Me Anything Male to Female

Is it okay to reply as not OP but also trans? (Specifically a trans woman)

My experience is that this comes down to a weird dynamic where when we fail to perform femininity, we are accused of not even trying or it's given as a reason that we're not women. For instance parents saying "how can you be a trans woman, you did [stereotypical boy thing] as a kid or hated [stereotypical girl thing] as a kid. So you'll see some trans women performing feminity more, or being more femme, than the average woman partially as a reaction to this. You'll also see trans women afraid to be too feminine as a reaction to ideas like you're talking about. I'm sure there's more other people can say about this but that's my experience as a trans woman with trans friends.
