I'm white, I'm poor, I don't see this privilege that I'm hated for (hey, that rhymed).

Wow, friend. You are way off base. First of all, I mentioned expansion of Education because the OP wrote a very articulate post. It was well written. It was indicative of someone who can use their intelligence to get out of their current circumstances. You may also note that I specifically mentioned pursuing education in a field where the jobs will be plenty. Of course you can't major in philosophy and expect to get a fabulous job as a result. However, a degree in nursing will allow you to write your own ticket. Further more, loans are the only way most can get a higher education these days. I know, as I just finished putting my own kid through 4 years of school funded 100% through loans. I did the math. She picked a marketable degree. She got hired right out of school and pays half of her loans back, while I pay the other half. She still comes out ahead each month, courtesy of her degree. I don't know why you think it is appropriate to run your foul mouth at someone you know nothing about. I am glad you are happy with the path you took. Everyone deserves the same sense of accomplishment, and there are many ways to get there. My main point was, labels don't really matter. If you are at a place in life that you aren't happy about, then you are worth the effort to make changes and move yourself forward.
