Why I'm worried about the current direction of the game

Skillful mechanics are defined to me as a way for the player to do an action that can fail, and rewards them for completing it successfully. Not including passive inputs. (An example of a passive input would be to use insulated for Heroic Shockjaw). Sure it's the "smart" thing to do. However stop and think if it actually SHOULD BE a thing to do given his moveset and overall fight dynamic. Also stop to think about players who don't have insulated. They're going to have so much fun dealing with this bastard until they get his armor +10. Really great design. In regards to your comment about leading him away, sure. Then he spawns more, then he jumps/tail swings/whatever and the orb clips through the behemoth and hits you anyway. Not fun in any way. These "passive solutions" to the artificial difficulty aren't fun to do. Is it fun to have to take a behemoth away from it's starting location? Or hit the W key to move out of the way because Koshai puts thorns down? Not inherently, it's just a way to make the player do something not difficult that adds to overall difficulty of the fight, inflating it. Is it fair? Sure. Is it understandable? Sure. Is it annoying? Yes. Is it not fun? Yes. Is it fair? Sure. Still it adds nothing to the fight. Also yeah I agree with you that Koshai and Riftstalker are definitely the best things they've added in awhile, but think about why that is. It's not his NOPE bubble, it's not his thorns, it's his engaging moveset. Whereas Riftstalker actually has some nice deployable mechanics that add to the dynamic of the fight. A perfect example of doing it right with both scenarios. Also you seem to think that I think Koshai and Nayzaga are inherently not fun or fair. What I said, was that their deployables/artificial difficulty makes the fight less fun. Their mechanics and movesets are already fine.

TL:DR; I didn't say Koshai wasn't not fun, I said his deployables aren't fun and add no value to the fight.
