I'm worried about my future after I graduate...medical field.

I was in the Respiratory Therapy program for 2 years and 1 left until I graduate when I dropped out. I dropped out because of the same exact thought process you have right now. It is still my biggest regret until today! I ended up going back and then I dropped it again right before my hospital placement again because I feared I will hurt someone.

My advice is DO NOT let these thoughts consume you. If your marks are good, you labs are good, you understand the content, you will be absolutely fine! When these thoughts get into your head say something like “this is adhd not me” and keep repeating it until you believe it. Please don’t let these thoughts consume you, you’ll regret it if you do!! You can do this, I also recommend talking to your superiors and instructors! Ask them if they ever felt like this and what kind of problems they’ve personally faced. It will help put things into a realistic perspective for you.

Good luck! You can do this! RT is a fantastic field and with your ADHD you will thrive !!!
