Imagine Archie Bunker saying this stuff now?

I don't know that many people on the right, but in my experience there's nothing as insidious as left wing racism and bigotry. It comes from a good place, but good intentions aren't always enough.

It robs minorities of their own agency and forces them to become token members of their stereotypically uniform imagined community. It's very hard to change these attitudes, because people who hold them are very deeply in denial about their racism and bigotry.

The interesting thing about Archie is he was a blue collar guy from Queens. He showcased exactly what you are talking about. But Lear wanted to shift the perception of viewers to see him as a red shirt when he was as blue as the Manhattan bridge.
