Syncretic and evolving faith has no similarities with neopaganism. Indonesian Islam is an example of a blended faith that incorporates their traditional beliefs with their newer faith. It is mixed in the same way that a cross breed dog is mixed: an organically occurring combination of compatible traits.

Neopaganism is more like a trail mix of random crap that you think is cool. It is a construct made entirely in the modern western world by people completely removed from these cultures that shows no deference or respect to the culturally significant origins of the beliefs they've pilfered and poorly co-opted.

Frankly I don't see the difference between this and you wearing a Native American headdress to Coachella.
