Immigration/Asylum situation

Well beyond the fact that this is a restriction on the basic human right to apply for asylum anywhere, it essentially forces people who are being persecuted to remain persecuted.

The same issues that are a safety risk to someone in Nicaragua are often the same in Guatemala, Honduras, and Mexico which also have refugees fleeing. So now you are putting people in a situation where they have to apply to asylum in a country they have no sense of safety in.

Furthermore, you have no lengthened the asylum process tenfold. You're forcing people to go through multiple asylum processes before even giving them the chance to apply, and that is completely unreasonable when we are talking about a population that is literally defined as experiencing persecution.
