I did karaman in 1.28, but there were no real changes to Anatolia since 1.29, so what I did should still work.

Starting moves would be the following:

(a requirement that makes the game far easier: restart until AQ doesn't ally the ottomans in the first 5 years, it's not necessary tho).

Improve relations and ally the mamluks, easily doable since you're both sunni and hanafi.

Fabricate on and conquer dulkadir and ramazan (if they don't ally anyone huge).

Then take some of AQ to get a border with QQ and Trebizond/Samstke.

release 2 subjects e.g. trebizond/georgia/Samstke to increase your own force limit and total troop count including vassals.

When the ottomans attack venice, albania and all of their tiny friends, call in the mamluks with a promise of land.

then from there on it's just opportunistic wars.
