And what of those of us who enlisted while under youthful disillusions from years of indoctrination but woke up? Comrades, most US military members are kids who have been brainwashed by capitalist ideology, they were born under it and taught that it is somehow righteous. I was taught this from a early age, but I was also taught to fight for what is right and seek justice (ironic, I know). How are they supposed to have a concept of the evils of capitalism when everyone around them licks boot, and no one reaches out to them and confronts them with the truth?

Military members would be a hugely valuable asset to revolution, and they can turn as I did (long since out now). They are well trained and equipped to start and finish a revolution, to alienate them would both deprive the cause of the required force and turn a populace that doesn't know or understand better, against the revolution. There can be no revolution without the people backing it, and from what I see we have ~40k strong in this sub, that's not enough. Failure of revolution will fall on us for a lack of propaganda and persuasive discourse, as well as tactically imprudent decisions to view people as problems instead of potential comrades.
