It was not long ago that the Blackhawks were a bottom-feeding NHL team.
That's true. But if you know anything about the history of our team, our former owner, how fucking difficult it was to watch a Blackhawks game on tv, then you'd know why nobody attended the games. And it'll happen to the Red Wings too, before all is said and done with the world.
Then the smug pretentious nature of their organization manifested and spread to every corner of this country. "All hail the NHL's finest dynasty, the Chicago Blackhawks- an organization with no equivalent." Their owners act this way, their players, and especially their fans. They even have the audacity to anoint themselves as "Hockeytown."
You can't just put quotes on something and act like someone said it. Sure, I bet the most annoying fan of every successful team has said something similar before but now you're just blatantly making shit up. As for the Hockeytown thing, we really don't call Chicago that. But the real audacity comes from the town with that name painted on the ice, as if you think your town has the greatest hockey fans in the world. That title obviously belongs to some town in Canada, where the sport was invented. How dare you have the audacity to take that away from them. Also, your post absolutely screams "pretentious", so I'd take a look around your own glass house before you start throwing stones.

Hockey's greatest? Like, ever? Nobody is saying that. That title probably belongs to the Habs and their insane amount of championships. And, sure, maybe we'll get there some day. But, again, stop making shit up.
Your allegiance to the Red Wings is being swept under the rug by a sports base that only became popular within the last few years. The countless hours of devotion you've put into this team, a team with 11 Stanley Cups, 24 consecutive playoff appearances, multiple hall of fame players, is being erased from the culture of this sport.
The Chicago Blackhawks are a cancer. They are the epitome of evil, and they are knowingly aware of their crime to remove us from the tree of greatness in the NHL.
Literally none of this is happening. We're not even in the same conference anymore. The Blues are our biggest rival. You do you, stop being so concerned with our legacy.
