Important: TERF research fellow Emma Hilton is attempting to publish a dishonest scientific review against trans athletes

Omg, this lady. She’s awful. She writes about sports like it’s an institution older than civilization. So focused on competition, no room for letting queer kids play. Elite athletes seems like such a tiny group, she’s just changing the bathroom strawman for a sports strawmen. Why not write about how dangerous elite sports are for women and girls, like the IOC doesn’t have bigger problems than dissecting transgender and intersex people. Her WSJ opinion piece is the worst. It clings to the only binary in biology inherited by our ancestors -1 billion years ago before multicellular bodies had evolved in the clade that includes humans. Gametes to highly derived mammals, it’s like swimming over the Marianas Trench. “Biological sex” is only defined by gametes because no other binary is upheld— all bodies develop along a very complex path. So many twists, turns, and feedback from the environment that not even monozygotic twins have the same DNA, bodies, etc. Too much variation and total denial that true hermaphroditism is ancestral to vertebrates, our brains and bodies most of their multicellular existence in non-binary bodies. That really complicated their “two gametes, two bodies” reductionism.

Petty, but ya’ll should know. The co-author on the WSJ article is racist and then some. He was chased out of academia for being a liability, especially cuz he wanted to teach college. Now his insect papers are being retracted because his co-author/PhD advisor fabricated data (on dozens of papers). This guy shouldn’t be taken seriously and neither should Emma.

Not a single tested m hypothesis in this paper either, no statistical tests. Just tables that are cherry-picked as OP reports. TERFs
