Inaka placement for a non-driver?

Toyama here, our local train got canceled a lot this year do to heavy rain and strong winds. This happens everywhere but it impacts life. You need to ask a teacher to drive you home which means going home late or creating more work for others. 4th year in Toyama now and I've seen busses get stuck in snow and be late. Some busses cost 650yen each way so even with one school to go to that's 1300yen a day... Do the math. I've had to pick up Alts and drive them home in snow storms. Yes we have great connectivity in Toyama City but not for the true inaka which is the case with most if not all prefectures. Also living close to your school you might not need a car but having a social life might require one. All the best!!
