Everything can have decimals, but what is a decimal?

Its a part of a single number, broken down into a sub number between 0-10, as indicated by the 'dec' in decimal, which is a latin root, but more importantly for this comment, its a fundamental part of a base 10 numbering system.

What is math with a base 10 system? Metric.

So, by having decimals on a farenheight measurement, you're increasing its accuracy with a metric measurement, may as well just have the whole system in metric, that then uses a constant that is everywhere (water) that has a constant and consistent measurable state, that has its phase change points between freezing and boiling matching the base 10 metric system. Eg, freeze at 0 and below, boil at 100 or higher and liquid inbetween.
